The Greatest Deception

How will you know if you've been deceived? You won't! But for those of us filled with the Holy Spirit, that follow Christ, we will know all who have been deceived because they won't be with us. Therefore, Christians, let us put on the armor of God so that we will stand firm against the enemy and his army of the deceived.

"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refuse to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness."  2 Thessalonians 2:9-12

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."  2 Corinthians 4:4

"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived."  2 Timothy 3:12-13

"The Spirit clearly says that in the later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."  1 Timothy 4:1

"Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many."  Matthew 24:4-5

"At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."  Matthew 24:10-13

"Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."  Revelation 13:11-18

"Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour."  1 John 2:18

"In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a stern-faced king, a master of intrigue, will arise. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men and the holy people. He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power."  Daniel 9:23-25

"Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh." 

Revelation 19:19-21

Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."  John 8:42-44

"He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."  John 8:47

"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." 

Ephesians 6:11

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."  James 1:22

I do not write these devotionals from my own knowledge, but by the knowledge given to me by God and his Holy word. Fellow Christians, it is critical to read the bible. It is God's word. If you do not know God's word, you will be deceived! We also must repent. Wash your robes people, or will not go through the gates, but be outside with the dogs. You can only ignore God for so long...where will you run when Christ comes back? The clock is ticking. Chose your side.
